If you are considering a breast augmentation and search the internet for an answer to the question of where you can best go, you may come across the recent survey by Elsevier Weekblad. In it, Boerhaave Clinic emerges as the best clinic in the Netherlands for breast augmentations. A result we are, of course, extremely proud of. But we also realise that, as a reader, you may wonder about this outcome: what does it actually tell me?

It is an understandable question, because it is not without reason that the Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (Inspectie voor Gezondheidszorg en Jeugd) has warned several times in reports on private clinics that some clinics structurally lag behind in developing their quality. It should be clear that those clinics do not appear in the overview Elsevier published.
