Discover the different types of facelifts, from the S-lift to the combined neck and facelift, and what you can expect from each procedure.

We have been seeing growing demand for plastic surgery for a number of years. In 2016, the number of treatments performed in America rose again (by 11% compared with 2015), and a record 15 billion dollars in revenue was generated. This is according to research by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). ASAPS keeps track of all trends and developments in the field of cosmetic treatments. Although the figures come from the United States, this trend is also comparable to the Dutch market.
“A healthy economy, low unemployment and the desire of more and more people to stay young forever have a major influence on the rising demand for surgical and non-surgical plastic surgery treatments,” explains Daniel C. Mills, president of ASAPS. “In addition, it is becoming easier and easier to meet the client's personal wishes. There is a unique treatment available for everyone, something for every taste.” With lipofilling, for example, people can now indicate themselves whether they want the fat moved to the breasts, face, buttocks or another area.
What is also striking is that, alongside the increased demand for breast augmentation with an implant, demand for other forms of breast augmentation has also increased. “We can therefore say that there is generally more demand for these kinds of procedures among the wider public. Thanks to the new possibilities, we are reaching a larger audience.” Labia corrections, for example, once a niche, are now mainstream.
