Nipple correction rapidly gaining popularity

Plastic surgery has undergone enormous development over the years, and as a result nipple correction is rapidly gaining popularity. Initially, plastic surgery focused on larger parts of the body, such as the facelift, breast correction or the tummy tuck. But now that these techniques have proven themselves both scientifically and in practice, plastic surgeons are paying more and more attention to correcting the body in the details. And not without reason, because patients are becoming increasingly aware of the possibilities that plastic surgery offers and are looking at their own bodies ever more critically.

Rising demand

A good example of this is the rising demand for nipple corrections. In the United States, demand for them has quadrupled over the past six months. Something that certainly has to do with the popularity of see-through clothing among American stars. When it is worn without a bra, the nipples are visible, and that naturally creates the wish to present the nipple as beautifully as possible. Nipple correction meets that need. It can make the nipples more symmetrical, which they are not always by nature. They can also be made lighter or smaller, while other women prefer them to be enlarged slightly so that they are more visible under clothing.

The treatment

Nipple correction can very well be performed as a stand-alone plastic surgery treatment. After all, the areola can become larger with age, and many women do not find this attractive. A nipple correction can then bring about an improvement. The shape or size of the nipples themselves can also be enhanced. In this way, inverted nipples, for example – something that affects around two percent of women – can also be corrected.

But it is of course also perfectly possible to consider the correction as an addition to another breast procedure. For example, a nipple correction can very well be performed to enhance the final result after a breast lift. A breast lift is a popular procedure among women whose breasts have started to sag after weight loss or pregnancy. In that process the areolas also stretch, so that they become larger. A breast lift alone does not solve this problem. This explains why the combination of this procedure with a nipple correction is becoming increasingly popular. It is a relatively minor additional procedure, but one that produces a much more beautiful end result.
