The Boerhaave app

To support our patients’ care and make your experience with us as pleasant as possible, we are introducing the Boerhaave app: a personal digital health assistant for you as a patient. You no longer have to remember anything yourself, because we do that for you! From the consultation, to preparing for your operation, to the period after your operation; everything is kept track of for you. The Boerhaave app informs, guides and supports you throughout the entire process.

The Boerhaave app is available for both iOS and Android users.

Always up to date

Once the date of your consultation and (later) the date of your operation have been set, you can add them to the app. From that moment on, the Boerhaave app reminds you of the important action points at the moments that matter to you. For example, the app informs you about the fasting guidelines or when to start taking extra vitamin C in preparation for your operation. After the operation, the app gives you tips to help you recover as well as possible.

Have you downloaded the app?

When you have downloaded the Boerhaave app and open it for the first time, click on “account maken” (create account). You will then be asked for a care code. Use our care code: “BOERHAAVE” to log in. Once you have entered your phone number, you will receive a personal code from us. With this code you get immediate access to the app.

  • How can I download the Boerhaave app?

Is your operation scheduled soon? Then you can already use the app! Click on the links above or search for the Boerhaave app in the App Store or Google Play Store.

 

  • What is the care code I need to log in?

Have you downloaded the Boerhaave app? Then use our care code: “BOERHAAVE”.

 

  • How can I add or change the date of my consultation and treatment?

Did you enter the date of your consultation or treatment incorrectly? You can change it after installing the app. You may not yet know the date of your treatment. You can add it later in due course.

Follow the steps below to change or add the date of your consultation or treatment in the Boerhaave app:

– Open the Boerhaave app
– On the home screen, click the ‘User’ icon (bottom right of the menu bar)
– Click the cogwheel (top right)
– Click ‘Mijn gegevens’ (My details)
– Then click ‘Consult- of behandeldatum wijzigen of toevoegen’ (Change or add consultation or treatment date) and enter the correct date.

 

  • How can I switch treatments in the Boerhaave app?

You may have downloaded the app earlier for a different treatment process. If you are having a second treatment with us, you can also use the app for this process. It is possible to add a new treatment and to switch between treatments. Follow the steps below to add a treatment or switch treatments:

– Open the Boerhaave app
– On the home screen, click the ‘User’ icon (bottom right of the menu bar)
– Click the cogwheel (top right)
– Click ‘Mijn gegevens’ (My details)
– Then click ‘Een behandeling toevoegen’ (Add a treatment) and select the new treatment in the chat.
