Meet ENT specialist Drs. G.F.J.P.M. Adriaensen

Dr. Gwijde Adriaensen is a board-certified ENT specialist and rhinologist with additional expertise in both the internal and external aspects of the nose.

It became clear early on that he wanted to apply his refined skills to the field of medicine. He is a staff member at the University Medical Center in Amsterdam, where, in addition to providing academic patient care, he is involved in training, teaching courses, giving presentations at conferences, and conducting scientific research. This ensures he always stays up to date with the latest developments in his field. In addition, he is responsible for all rhinoplasty procedures in the ENT department. These primarily involve functional-aesthetic corrections following trauma, revision surgeries, and the treatment of congenital nasal abnormalities such as cleft nose.

With an eye for beauty and symmetry and a keen attention to the smallest details, he has found his passion in optimizing both the function and the appearance of the nose. Dr. Adriaensen strongly believes that function and aesthetics must go hand in hand, without one coming at the expense of the other.

Coming from a family of educators, he understands the importance of clarity in building trust and confidence when making important decisions. This is reflected in his care for patients in the consultation room, where he listens carefully to his patients’ wishes and translates them into clear and achievable results. Only when both the patient and the doctor are fully on the same page is a decision made to proceed with surgery. His ultimate goal is a radiant and satisfied patient.

You are welcome to schedule an appointment at his clinic for more information.
